Abdulmohsin Mohammad Al Shoaibi – Chairman
Abdulmohsin Mohammad Al Shoaibi served as the Executive Manager of Solar Arabia Co. Limited (formerly known as BP Solar Arabia Co. Ltd), which specializes in every aspect of Photovoltaic (PV) solar modules, including assembly and development, design, engineering, system sizing, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of fully-integrated solar power systems. With more than 25 years of industry experience, his expertise ranges from administration, strategic planning, operations and project management to marketing and business development. In 2013, the Middle East Solar Awards honored him with its first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Shoaibi holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toledo, USA. He is the Managing Partner in DarSolar (http://www.darsolar.com), a full-service solar development company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Amin Al-Yaquob – Executive Director
Dr. Al Yaquob is one of the first volunteers who joined the Saudi Arabia Solar Industry Association (SASIA) in and has been active in its early stage. He is currently the Business Development Director at Global Projects Development Holding (or Global Tatweer) which provides comprehensive technical, financial, and logistic services in the area of renewable energy and water desalination in MENA and Central Asia. He has been leading various cleantech start-ups in Saudi Arabia and Japan developing partnerships with investors and international suppliers.
He has a PhD from Doshisha University, Japan in the area of renewable energy promotion policy. His research has been in the areas of renewable energy diffusion policies, renewable energy market dynamics, and renewable energy integration challenges. He holds Master’s degree in Global Business Administration from Doshisha University, Japan with specialization in photovoltaic clusters promotion and industry-university collaboration, and Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al Yaquob is a member of various societies including the Steering Comittee of Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) and SEMI Global Standards Committee for Photovoltaics.
Browning Rockwell – Founder
Mr. Rockwell has worked in the MENA/GCC region for more than a quarter century. He is the Founder of the Saudi Arabia Solar Industry Association (SASIA) (http://www.saudi-sia.com) and publisher of the MENA Solar Brief, a monthly email newsletter covering the GCC/MENA region. He was also a founder and past president of the Emirates Solar Industry Association (ESIA). His extensive experience with renewable energy includes market entry strategy, government liaison, proposal development, partnership identification, project management, and solar advisory services. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Solar GCC Alliance (http://www.solargcc.com) and a partner in DarSolar (http://www.darsolar.com or dar.solar), a full-service solar development company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
From 2006–2011, Rockwell served as acting General Manager of SunEdison MENA LLC, subsidiary of MEMC, an S&P 500 company and global leader in solar project development. Since 2005 he has been involved in developing solar energy projects in the MENA/GCC region, interacting with senior leadership at Mubadala, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC), ADNEC, TAQA, ADWEA, DEWA, Dubai Holding, EZW, Qatar Foundation, Saudi Aramco, KAUST, SEC and K.A. CARE on solar energy issues.
