SASIA is pleased to partner with Solar Energy International (SEI) to provide professional solar PV training to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the surrounding region. This training partnership leverages SEI’s decades of technical training experience and expertise, with the goal of establishing a highly-trained, professional solar workforce with a focus on safety and highly-efficient PV system design and installation methods throughout the region.
This hybrid training model between SEI and SASIA consists of online learning via SEI’s state-of-the-art online learning platform and an in-person training taught by some of SEI’s most experienced instructors. We’ve customized this training for engineers, designers, decision makers, and those who play a vital part in the Middle East’s quickly emerging solar markets.

Introduction to Renewable Energy is a free online sample course for those who wish to learn the basics of renewable energy—including where it is found, how we can harvest it for use in our homes and how it can help ease pressures on the environment.
This online solar training course establishes fundamental concepts required for safe, code-compliant design and installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems, with a focus on residential-sized grid-direct solar electric systems. The goal of the course is to create a fundamental understanding of the core concepts necessary to work with all PV systems, including: system components, site analysis, PV module criteria, mounting solutions, safety, and commissioning.
This online solar training workshop builds upon the core concepts from PV101, expanding them to address larger, more complex grid-direct PV systems. Apply National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and industry best practices to residential and commercial grid-direct solar electric systems to ensure safe, code-compliant design and installation.
This course builds upon the core concepts from PV101, with a specific emphasis on battery-based system design. Students will work through step-by-step design process for battery-based applications, including stand-alone (off-grid), grid-tied with battery back-up, and hybrid systems. This online solar training course has been developed from the ground up with a strong focus on business principals and non-technical financial and economics topics, and is directly aligned with the NABCEP PV Technical Sales task analysis.
