“The Saudi Solar Trade Mission to Spain was an incredibly useful trip. It provided a valuable opportunity to network with Spanish companies and to learn from Spain’s experiences with solar deployment; an opportunity to network with fellow Saudi stakeholders and to gain valuable information on considerable renewables investments going on in the Saudi private sector. Finally, it also provided an opportunity to deepen expertise through well selected site visits and technical workshops on solar-diesel hybrid systems, grid integration of renewables, financing and bankability of solar projects etc. The Mission has informed my work program for 2015 and I would highly recommend it to local stakeholders.” —Saudi Aramco
The Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF), in collaboration with the Saudi Arabia Solar Industry Assiciation (SASIA), are holding a Trade Mission to identify potential investment and partnering opportunities between Saudi and Spanish companies. This Mission, which will include face-to-face meetings as part of the Spanish Solar Forum hosted by UNEF, will encourage Spanish and Saudi stakeholders to share experiences and will present an excellent opportunity to discuss PV technology, successful strategies, and develop partnerships for joint projects in Saudi Arabia.
This amazing opportunity will provide high-level interaction, superior networking opportunity and face-to-face meetings with executives of Spanish Solar Companies and local Saudi stakeholders and private sectors. We have invited representatives from SIDF, SEC, Saudi Aramco, K.A.CARE, SWCC, SADF, KACST, KAUST, KSU, KFUPM, MARAFIQ, ECRA as well as senior representatives from Saudi Arabia banks, manufacturing, poultry, dairy, and date industries to gain further insight on the solar industry.
