The Electricity and Cogeneration Regulatory Authority (ECRA) is completing the drafting of a small photovoltaic solar system that sets out the regulatory requirements related to small photovoltaic solar systems related to the distribution system in Saudi Arabia. The regulation also establishes the net measurement method for energy consumed at the connected facility, to the electricity distribution network, while ensuring the efficient and safe installation, maintenance and operation of small photovoltaic solar systems in all installations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their impact on the electricity system.
The regulation includes a model agreement between the service provider and the consumer qualified for the installation of small photovoltaic solar systems sets out the terms and conditions and responsibilities of the parties. The regulation also specifies the requirements and requirements for qualification of contractors or consultants, expertise, competencies and training required by employees wishing to undertake work related to small photovoltaic solar systems.
The completion of these regulations is an important step in the deployment of small photovoltaic solar applications in the Kingdom, and therefore invites the Electricity and Producing General Authority to participate in the presentation of observations and observations on the small solar photovoltaic regulations document available at the following link:
